Gayle Brent

Gayle Brent is a Griffith University Journalism graduate (B.Bus – Journalism) with a broad experience and keen interest in writing. She has higher degrees in Higher Education and Marketing and is currently completing her Masters in Education and Professional Studies by Research .

In her current role as the Learning and Teaching Consultant in the Griffith Sciences Group, Gayle has combined her interests in STEM, with her creative talent to inspire students to engage in personal and professional development. Gayle has a creative and innovative approach to engaging students of all ages in learning and has worked across broad areas within the higher education sector including school outreach programs, orientation and transition, employability-based learning and alumni engagement.

In 2018 Gayle became a Senior Fellow Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) in recognition of her commitment to leadership in learning and teaching. She is an advocate of reading with children for both pleasure and for the development of literacy and is the mother of two children who both enjoy reading based on their early exposure to a diverse range of books and stories.
